Oklahoma State Watch Party - March 9, 2013
The Cats took on Oklahoma State Saturday in a game that likely would guarantee K-State at least a share of the Big XII title. It was a very hard fought game in Stillwater with the lead changing back and forth multiple times throughout the game. Unfortunately, to the disappointment of  K-Staters everywhere, including CaliforniaCats fans at Ricky's, the Cats did not have the lead change when it mattered most at the end of the game losing 76-70.

TCU Watch Party - March 5, 2013
TCU visited Manhattan for K-State's last  home game of the year. The game was expected to be an easy game for the Cats and it was, winning 79-68. Ricky's was quiet as our Watch Party was the only game in 'town'.

Kansas Watch Party - February 11, 2013
Though the Cats jumped the Jayhawks in the national ratings earlier in the day and it was the first time they played KU as the higher ranked team since 1988, the boys on the Kaw had little trouble beating K-State once again, this time 83-62. Early foul trouble spelled the doom for this game. On a brighter note we had a great weekday showing at Grant & Green for our watch party.

Iowa State Watch Party - February 9, 2013
K-State continued its winning ways today defeating Iowa State in Manhattan. The Cats came out strong and then promptly quit playing before coming back to take a one point lead at halftime. K-State played inspired basketball in the second half easily defeating the Cyclones 79-70. Grant & Green was the site of this weeks Watch Party

Oklahoma Watch Party - February 2, 2013
On Saturday, the Wildcats showed up in fine style in Norman as they defeated the Sooners in another game where the outcome didn't seem to be in doubt. Beating OU two games this year has taken the sting out of losing two to them last year. Grant & Green was the site of this weeks Watch Party

Iowa State Watch Party - January 26, 2013
K-State ran into a Cyclone or the Cyclones and could not keep up with Iowa State's three point barrage and their high number of foul shot taken and made. The game was exasperating as the Wildcats seemed to have their shooting woes continue from the KU game, however, review of the game stats showed the Cats shot over 50%. Free throw opportunities were the difference. Final score 73-67.

Kansas Watch Parties - January 22, 2013
If only K-State could have made open three point shots last night the Cats would have come out with a victory over Kansas instead of just falling short 59-55 in Manhattan. The defense for both teams played very well throughout the game which set up the contest in Lawrence as another close game. We had watch parties at both Ricky's and Grant & Green. The attendance was sparse, but not unexpected for a five o'clock weekday start time.

Oklahoma Watch Party - January 19, 2013
The CaliforniaCats Grant & Green style met for their first basketball watch party on Saturday cheering on the Cats in K-State's victory over former K-State great Lon Krueger's Oklahoma Sooners. Lon has had our number going into the game with a 4-1 record. New K-State coach Bruce Weber's team handily defeated OU 69-60. The outcome of the game was never in doubt.

The Cats are 4-0 and tied for first place in the Big XII with KU. This week one of these teams will have a loss as KU visits Manhattan in a huge game on Tuesday. The Cats will need to bring their A+ game to have a chance of beating the Jayhawks though a Wildcat victory would not be a surprise.
