Texas Tech Watch Wrap (Women) - January 22, 2005
The 20th ranked Kansas State Women's basketball team played a terrific game against #10 Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. The game was a seesaw contest with each team staying in it until the final seconds. K-State came out on top in this crucial away game winning 55-53. Laurie Koehn was on fire hitting 4 of 6 three point shots. The men were playing on a small TV and were not as fortunate as they were handily defeated by Texas A&M 65-51.

As good as the game was, interest in basketball Watch Parties is very poor as you will see in the pictures below thus the balance of our Watch Parties has been cancelled.

Missouri Watch Wrap (Men) - January 15 2005
Ricky did pull the CAT out of the hat as he was able to show the "blacked-out" wildCATS on the big screen at his Sports Theatre and Grille in San Leandro. DirectTV had listed our game as available, only to black them out at game time. Ricky searched and found another provider who broadcast the game for our benefit. Because of this uncertainty going into the game I called off the 'official Watch Party' and only my granddaughter joined me for this weeks game.

K-State's mens team (11-3) played old style exciting KSU basketball as they completely shut down Missouri 74-54. Earlier in the day the womens team (12-3) met similar success as they defeated Nebraska also at home 74-59 for their third straight Big XII victory.

Our next scheduled watch party will be this coming Saturday, January 22nd, for an early afternoon game as the K-State women team plays Texas Tech at 1:00PM. Check bac k later in the week to verify the game broadcast.

Kansas Watch Wrap (Women) - January 8, 2005
The inaugural CaliforniaCats Basketball watch party began Saturday with a game change. Due to a wee bit of technical difficulty the men's basketball game against Nebraska was unavailable, but Ricky with the help of Julie Deppish '80, came through and got us linked up to a terrific women's basketball game against Kansas. At halftime the score was tied, but the Cats roared back and completely dominated the Jayhawks with a runaway 63-45 rout.

Our next watch party will be this coming Saturday, January 15th at 5PM as the K-State men's team plays Missouri at Bramlage in Manhattan. See you at Ricky's.
