From across the country, including the states of Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Arizona and California, K-State's baseball team parents showed great support as approximately forty came to California to cheer on the Cats on Februrary 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Unfortunately, their enthusiasm was dampened, not just by the wet and cold weather, but by strong pitching staffs from both the California Bears and the Santa Clara Broncos as K-State was swept two games.

The team was originally going to play a double header at Cal on Friday, but a 3:00 AM arrival caused a change of plans and only a single game was played. Saturday's game at Santa Clara was played under a light rain shower, while the second game was called because of rain. Sunday's game was also cancelled due to inclement weather.

Even with disappointing losses the enthusiasm of the parents and fans remained strong.
