For the first time since the 2002 Holiday Bowl, K-State and K-Staters especially enjoyed their Bowl Game adventure as the team came home with a huge victory over a storied Michigan Wolverines football team on December 28th at the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. The Cats soundly defeated the Wolverines 31-14 in a game not as close as the score sounds.

On Friday, a pep rally was held at Rawhide in southwestern Tempe where enthusiastic K-Staters were entertained by Eric Stonestreet, followed by a humorous demonstration of Wildcat pride by General Richard Myersand served as the United States 15th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The event was emcecced by Wyatt Thompson while the Pride Band, Classy Cats, Cheer Squad performed. University speakers included President Schulz; Amy Button Renz, President of the Alumni Association; John Currie, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Bill Snyder who gave thanks to our supportative fans and the introduced the team when Tre Walker gave an impassioned speech. It was at that time I thought this team was going to give it there all on Saturday night. In years past the players said all the right things, but this time it sounded very sincere.
