The early 8:00 AM PST kick-off did not catch the K-State football team napping as they played their second Cotton Bowl game with the same intensity as their early season 'patsy' teams.

Leading up to the game, was a Sunday afternoon pep rally supported by 15,000 fans during a very heavy snowfall in an outdoor amphitheatre adjacent to the Cotton Bowl. The band made an appearance, along with Willie, the cheerleaders and Coach Snyder. Coach Snyder thanked the awesome support the fans have given the team and promised the Cats would show up to compete against a very tough Tennessee team.

The overnight snowfall of 2" was mostly swept clear of the field, but walking to the stadium from the parking lots was treacherous as the sidewalks were glazed with ice. Sitting outside in 29degree weather for 5 hours was not as bad as it seemed, as the Cats played arguably their best game of the season totally dominating Tennessee. I would guess the Tennessee fans were very cold as nearly all of them had departed by the beginning of the fourth quarter.
